Job summary

Fraser Coast Regional Council in Hervey Bay, QLD, seeks two Water Industry Plant Operator/Labourer to maintain and construct water and wastewater systems. The role requires MR licence, plant licences, White Card, and immunisations; operate machinery and work safely in confined spaces.

Permanent full-time positions with an annual salary of $74,161 plus superannuation and an annual allowance of $2,869, plus an 8-day fortnight.

Qualifications

• MR licence is required.
• Current machinery/plant licences (e.g., excavator) preferred.
• General Construction Induction Card (White Card) required.
• Hepatitis A/B and Tetanus immunisations or willingness to undertake within one month of start.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of machinery and equipment to support construction and maintenance of water and wastewater assets.
• Contribute to construction/maintenance activities to required quality standards.
• Assist in installation and maintenance of water and wastewater infrastructure.

What we are looking for:

We're looking for a reliable and experienced Water Industry Plant Operator/Labourer to assist in maintaining and constructing water and wastewater systems. The ideal candidate should be able to perform manual labour tasks, work safely in confined spaces, and have a strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

What your day will look like:

• Contribute to the undertaking of construction/ maintenance activities by operating a range of machinery and equipment

• Construction of water and wastewater infrastructure undertaken to quality standard
• Assist in the construction and installation of water and wastewater assets to quality standard

What you'll need for success:

• Current MR licence
• Current machinery/plant licences eg. excavator
• General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Current Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B and Tetanus immunisations (or willingness to undertake immunisations within one month of commencement)
