Job summary

Downer Group in Victoria seeks a Construction Manager to oversee water and sewer main renewal projects within the Energy & Utilities division. You will collaborate with design, scheduling, cost and commissioning teams to ensure successful delivery and handover of infrastructure assets.

You will lead on-site supervision, manage subcontractors, maintain safety and compliance, and drive improvements while fostering strong stakeholder relationships across project teams.

Qualifications

• 10yrs + Experience in Australian utility sector is favourable.
• Water industry experience highly desirable.
• Experience with both direct labour and sub-contract personnel.
• Appropriate level of WHS training and experience.
• Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project).

Responsibilities

• Provide site supervision for all projects.
• Manage and deliver a range of projects including construction, maintenance, commissioning and handover of infrastructure and assets.
• Coordinate with design, scheduling, cost and commissioning teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Drive a culture of safety, compliance and continuous improvement on site.
