Job summary

Western Downs Regional Council is seeking a Network Operator to carry out construction and maintenance on water and sewer infrastructure. You will operate Medium Rigid trucks and related machinery, perform routine servicing and assist with safety controls.

The role requires a MR licence and a strong commitment to WHS. You may undertake afterhours standby, traffic control duties and manual labour as directed by the site supervisor.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of civil construction and maintenance practices in water/sewer networks.
• Current MR Class or higher licence and WHS induction are preferred.
• Willingness to obtain additional competencies as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks and plant, perform routine maintenance and tasks to schedule.
• Participate in standby afterhours roster and safety reporting.
• Assist with traffic control and general labouring as directed.
