Job summary

AECOM’s Water Resources team in Victoria is seeking an engaging Sector Manager to lead the VIC Water Resources sector, delivering integrated services from flood risk and hydraulic modelling to drainage design, water quality and nature-based solutions across infrastructure, utilities and airports.

You will build networks across Australia, New Zealand and globally, mentor staff, provide technical direction, and partner with clients to deliver projects with excellence while expanding our market

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary degree, CPEng, and ideally 20+ years of experience in water resources.
• Proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to champion innovative ideas.
• Leadership, mentoring, collaboration, and building strong relationships across diverse stakeholders.
• Commercial and strategic acumen to balance profitability, efficiency and market insight.

Responsibilities

• Grow the VIC Water Resources sector by fostering client partnerships and expanding market presence.
• Ensure delivery excellence with high standards of quality, safety, governance and client satisfaction.
• Mentor staff, provide technical direction and nurture growth across the team.
• Leverage regional and global expertise to drive innovation and improve delivery outcomes.
