Inverell Shire Council is seeking a Network Assistant to support the maintenance, repair and operation of its water and wastewater distribution networks. You will join a dedicated team to ensure safe, reliable water services for the Inverell community.
In this role, you will perform a broad range of operational tasks, including servicing mains, valves, hydrants and reservoirs, and assisting with new connections and planned maintenance programs. A proactive, safety‑mocussed approach is essential.
Competenze
- Experience in maintenance and operation of water and wastewater networks.
- Ability to follow SOPs, Safe Work Method Statements and site safety rules.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team and provide good service to internal/external customers.
Mansioni
- Assist with maintenance and repair of water distribution infrastructure.
- Assist with wastewater network maintenance and pump stations.
- Assist with installation of new water and wastewater services and connections.
- Participate in planned maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Operate hand tools and basic plant equipment.
- Receive work instructions and help plan and deliver jobs.
