SMEC, a global engineering consultancy, is seeking a Senior Associate Engineer – Water Infrastructure to join our Melbourne team. The role requires a strong background in water and wastewater detailed design with leadership skills and a passion to expand expertise.

You will lead civil design packages, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and contribute to bids, ensuring adherence to client specifications and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Minimum 15+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong water/wastewater design background with leadership ability.

Responsibilities

• Design civil works for water and wastewater networks or treatment facilities.
• Lead/design packages and manage engineers, modelers and drafters to meet client standards.
• Coordinate with process, geotechnical, structural, electrical, mechanical and environmental teams.
• Contribute to bid preparation with technical input across disciplines.
