Job summary

SA Water in Adelaide is seeking a Manager Water Growth Planning to lead a team of seven planners and engineers responsible for identifying, planning, and scoping infrastructure solutions to support South Australia’s growth.

You will provide strategic direction, engage with regulators and developers, and oversee capital investment programs, balancing growth, risk, cost and environmental outcomes.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in Water infrastructure planning with data-driven decision making.
• Strong understanding of asset management, growth planning and regulatory investments.
• Proven leadership in managing diverse technical teams in a regulated utility.
• Experience delivering large growth asset portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prioritise, and plan short-, medium- and long-term capital investments for Water networks and treatment facilities across 29 systems.
• Lead risk-based planning with Water risk framework to identify intolerable risks and mitigation strategies.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of planners and engineers with focus on diversity and inclusion.
• Build and maintain relationships with regulators, developers, and community representatives.
• Financial stewardship of Water growth planning budgets and capital forecasting inputs.
