Job summary

Vault Minerals Limited, a leading ASX-listed gold producer now operating Deflector, seeks a Water Cart Operator to suppress dust and maintain safe access across haul roads and stockpiles. You will use surface equipment and support related operations, including loading materials and minor civil works.

The role requires 4+ years in underground operations or related earthmoving experience, a valid WA driver’s license (HR preferred), and First Aid certification. A VOC for Water Cart is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in underground (UG) operations or related earthmoving roles.
• Experience operating earth-moving equipment such as water carts, graders, and loaders.
• WA Manual Driver’s License preferred (HR encouraged).
• HLTAID011 Provide First Aid certification is required.
• Water Cart Verification of Competency (VOC) is needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate surface water carts for dust suppression on haul roads and stockpiles.
• Operate adjacent machinery to support surface mining activities.
• Assist in loading, transporting, and placing materials.
• Support shotcrete and concrete batching tasks.
• Carry out surface road maintenance and light civil works as directed.

Deflector Site Overview

Deflector Operation consists of two high-grade, narrow vein Gold/Copper mines, located 160km east of Geraldton. The ore is contained in a series of structurally complex lodes, namely the Deflector and Deflector South West deposits.

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

• Operate surface water carts to undertake dust suppression activities across haul roads, operational areas, stockpiles, laydown yards, workshops, and other designated locations to maintain safe working conditions and environmental compliance.
• Use mobile equipment, including front-end loaders and other authorised machinery, to support a range of surface operational activities.
• Assist with the loading, handling, transport, and placement of materials including aggregates, waste rock, fill materials, consumables, and other site resources as directed.
• Support shotcrete and concrete batching.
• Undertake surface road maintenance and minor civil works activities, including material placement, road repairs, drainage maintenance, and stockpile management.

About You:

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in UG operations operating an underground machinery
• Experience in operating earth moving equipment such as water carts, graders, front end loaders and light trucks
• WA Manual Driver’s License (HR Preferred)
• HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
• Water Cart Verification of Competency (VOC)
