Job summary

Water Corporation in Bunbury is seeking a capable team member to operate and maintain our wastewater treatment plants and recycling facilities. You will contribute to safe, reliable treatment and re-use of our community's wastewater while working outdoors and handling varied challenges.

The role offers autonomy, a fast-paced local team and the chance to support regional communities. Applicants should have process control experience, WA driver licence, and a Certificate III in National Water

Qualifications

  • Experience in process control and wastewater management systems.
  • WA C class driver's licence desirable.
  • Certificate III in National Water Package required or preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate civil plant and equipment for treatment plants.
  • Respond to plant faults and outages to minimise disruptions.
  • Utilise SCADA to locally and remotely optimise plant operation.
  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic team with autonomy in decision making.

About the role

We're looking for a capable and motivated team member to join our close-knit team in Bunbury. In this role, you'll play a vital part in operating and maintaining our Wastewater Treatment Plants and Waste Recycling and Reuse Facilities, helping ensure safe, reliable treatment and the reuse of our communities Wastewater.

What you can expect with this role
  • Operate a range of civil plant and equipment to safely carry out infrastructure maintenance activities around and in our Treatment Plants.
  • Respond to Plant faults and unplanned outages, playing a key role in minimising disruptions to the quality of the treatment process.
  • Be able to utilise our SCADA system to locally and remotely optimise the operation of our Treatment plants
  • A fast paced and dynamic environment with strong support of the team
  • Autonomy and decision making
Your skills and experience
  • Western Australian “C” Class minimum ‘HR’ Class Drivers Licence desirable.
  • Experience in Process control and Wastewater management systems
  • Ideally a Certificate III in National Water Package
