Job summary

Shoalhaven City Council is seeking a proactive Wastewater Distribution Supervisor to plan, coordinate and oversee maintenance across the central wastewater network at South Nowra. You will lead field crews, coordinate contractors, ensure safety and compliance with legislation and council policies, and support on-call emergency responses.

Qualifications

• Must have Certificate IV in Water Industry or equivalent experience/knowledge.
• Must hold MR Drivers Licence or obtain within 6 months.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Current White Card (GCIC).
• Current Confined Spaces Entry Certificate.
• Proof of Australian residency, citizenship, or right to work.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise maintenance and repair activities across the wastewater distribution network.
• Lead and support day-to-day field operations of crews and contractors to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Coordinate investigations, inspections and maintenance programs for wastewater assets.
• Provide technical advice on wastewater network operations, maintenance and repairs.
• Monitor and respond to customer requests, system faults and emergencies for timely resolution.
• Support compliance with legislation, council policies, safety requirements and operational standards.
• Assist with maintenance programs, asset improvements and network reliability initiatives.
• Collaborate with Wastewater Coordinators and operational teams to deliver high-quality services.

Education

Certificate IV in Water Industry or equivalent

MR Drivers Licence
