Job summary

Shoalhaven City Council is recruiting for 2 permanent, full-time Water Distribution positions located at Shoalhaven Water Flinders Depot. The roles involve maintaining the water distribution system, supporting Water Coordinators, and ensuring compliance with legislation and council policies.

Appointments require on-call availability, overtime as needed, and progression through a 4-step salary grade. Applicants must hold a Certificate IV in Water Industry or equivalent and relevant licences.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Water Industry or equivalent experience/knowledge.
• Current MR Truck Licence or must obtain within 6 months.
• Current NSW First Aid Certificate.
• Current National WHS Construction Card (WorkCover).
• Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa).

• 2 x Permanent / Full Time opportunities available
• 38 hours per week (Monday to Friday) with a 9-day fortnight
• Located at Shoalhaven Water Flinders Depot

About the Role

Reporting to the Coordinator - Water Distribution, you will be responsible for supporting and managing the day-to-day operations of the Water Distribution Team's functions and staff). This includes:

• Maintenance of the water distribution system and support to the Water Coordinators.
• Ensure processes and protocols are in place for the Water Distribution Team's compliance with all relevant legislation and Council policies and ensure that risks are managed.

Being available to be on-call and complete reasonable overtime is a requirement of this position.

The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising of 4 steps within the range shown. The starting salary is at Step 1 within the grade. Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position.

About You

To be successful in the position, you will have:

• Certificate IV in Water Industry or equivalent experience/knowledge
