Job summary

Shoalhaven City Council is seeking a proactive wastewater supervisor to plan, coordinate and supervise maintenance across the central wastewater distribution network. You will lead field crews and contractors, ensuring safe, compliant delivery of services to the community.

The role emphasises safety, asset maintenance programs and on-call readiness. Applicants should hold a Certificate IV in Water Industry, MR licence, First Aid and White Card, with rights to work in Australia.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Water Industry or equivalent knowledge/experience.
• MR Driver's Licence required or to be obtained within 6 months.
• Current First Aid Certificate is required.
• White Card (General Construction Induction) current.
• Confined Spaces Entry Certificate current.
• Proof of Australian residency, citizenship, or right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise maintenance and repairs across the wastewater network.
• Lead field crews and contractors to complete works safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate investigations, inspections and maintenance programs for assets.
• Provide technical advice on wastewater operations, maintenance and repairs.
• Respond to customer requests and system faults to ensure timely resolution.
• Support compliance with legislation, policies, safety and standards.
• Assist with maintenance planning, asset improvements and reliability initiatives.
• Work with coordinators to deliver high-quality wastewater services.
• Participate in on-call roster and assist with emergencies as required.
• Promote a strong safety culture and proper traffic/site controls.
