Job summary

Synergie Australia is seeking a Waste Sorter / Bin Runner to join a recycling facility in Melbourne CBD. This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to become permanent for the right person.

You'll collect and move recycling bins, sort materials into correct streams, operate basic equipment such as balers, assist with bins and compactors, and keep the facility clean and orderly.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling.
• Reliable with strong work ethic and attendance.
• Able to start consistently at 5:30am.
• Hold a current driver’s licence and wear required PPE (hi-vis, steel-capped boots).
• Waste/recycling experience or forklift licence advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Collect and move recycling bins and materials.
• Manually sort recycling into correct waste streams.

• General cleaning and housekeeping of the facility.

What’s on offer

• $38.44 per hour
• Monday to Friday, 5:30am – 1:30pm

The role

• Collect and move recycling bins and materials
• Manually sort recycling into the correct waste streams
• Operate basic recycling equipment such as balers
• Assist with bins and compactors as required
• General cleaning and housekeeping of the facility

About you

• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and attendance
