Job summary

Burwood Council is seeking a visionary, strategic leader to assume the role of Manager Waste Services at the Croydon Park Operations Centre in NSW. You will drive sustainability, financial viability, and operational excellence across waste management services, overseeing high-value contracts and a diverse fleet.

You will champion resource recovery, lead education programs to accelerate zero-waste goals, and ensure strong regulatory compliance with proactive stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proven contract management and procurement skills.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to cultivate positive team cultures.
• Masterful command of waste management services including FOGO.
• Willingness to complete pre-employment checks including a police check, designated position declaration and pre-employment medical.

Responsibilities
