Job summary

Kennards Hire is seeking a Waste Pump Truck Driver for our Penrith distribution operations in Sydney. You will operate and maintain a waste pump truck, collect and dispose of waste, and uphold safety and service standards. Training is provided for required tasks.

The role requires a current MR/HR license, weekend shift availability, and physical fitness. You will work across multiple sites with a strong emphasis on safety and excellent customer interactions.

Qualifications

• A current HR/MR License is required.
• Availability to work Saturdays on a rotating roster.
• Physical fitness and the ability to pass a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Drive a MR Truck fitted with a toilet servicing tank.
• Service toilets: pump out effluent, clean, sanitise, refill consumables.
• Complete a time-sensitive toilet cleaning schedule for the route.
• Complete required paperwork including pre-start checklists.
• Drive between multiple worksites daily and maintain vehicle and pumps.
• Safely load and unload portable toilets and provide excellent customer service.

About the role,

Our Penrith Distribution Centre is the home to several specialist branches/teams, taking advantage of grouped logistics, repair and maintenance functions. In the DC, we have our Access, Earthmoving & Site Service, Traffic & Pump & Power specialist businesses.

We are seeking a Waste Pump Truck Driver to join our team in the Greater Western Sydney area. In this role, you will operate and maintain a waste pump truck to safely collect, transport, and dispose of liquid and solid waste materials. You will ensure all waste management activities align with Kennards Hire's values, standards, and procedures while maintaining a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and exceptional customer service. The driver plays a key role in upholding environmental safety standards and delivering reliable waste collection and disposal services.

This role requires you to;

• Drive a MR Truck fitted with a toilet servicing tank
• Servicing toilets including using a hose to pump out effluent from toilets, cleaning and sanitising the toilets, replenishing the toilets with fresh water, and refilling consumables such as toilet paper
• Completing a time sensitive toilet cleaning schedule for an allocated run
• Completion of required paperwork including pre-start checklists
• Driving between numerous worksites each day
• Safely load and unload of portable toilets
• Provide exceptional customer service in all customer interactions
• Commitment to maintaining clean and safe work method practices
• Maintain vehicle, tank and pump setup and to manage stock on board the truck.

About you

• A current HR/MR License
• The availability to work Saturdays on a rotating roster
• This role requires some physical components including lifting and standing on your feet for long periods. A level of physical fitness is required and the ability to pass a drug test
• Be proactive and keen to learn new skills
• An interest in machinery and equipment, although training will be provided
• A positive attitude and team player
• Ability to work well unsupervised and within a team and complete tasks in a timely manner
• Please note during the interview process you will need to provide a copy of your driving record
