Kennards Hire Belmont is seeking a Service Person Driver to join our supportive team. You will handle customer service, provide expert advice, and manage pickups and deliveries, ensuring equipment is ready for hire.

You’ll be involved in basic servicing, safety checks and maintaining gear, with training provided. A strong team culture, competitive base salary, profit share and weekend allowances are highlighted benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or similar roles is preferred.
• A valid driver's licence is required.
• Willingness to work weekends on a rotating roster.
• Physical fitness for lifting and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and expert advice during pickups and deliveries.
• Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure readiness for hire.
• Coordinate with branches and customers to support smooth equipment logistics.
• Assist with cleaning and minor repairs of equipment and facilities.
• Ensure safe loading/unloading procedures are followed.

About the role

Asthe Kennards Hire representative to our customers, we support you with thetraining and development you need to be successful in your role. The Service Person Driver is the critical link between a Kennards Hire branch, ourcustomers and their projects, big or small. You’ll be in charge of everythingthat makes our customers’ job easy; expert advice, pickups, deliveries andmaking sure our equipment is ready for hire.

This role requires you to;

• Instruct and demonstrate to customers on how to safely use our equipment.
• Provide exceptional customer service in all customer interactions
• Maintain the high standard and quality of equipment through regular servicing and minor repairs.
• Perform cleaning of branch facilities and maintenance of equipment as required
• Perform equipment ‘check in’ and ‘check out’ inspections
• Provide support forequipment logistics, including the occasional pickup and delivery of equipmentto customer sites, ensuring compliance with safe loading and unloadingprocedures

About you

• Successful applicants have come from various backgrounds such as; Customer service, building & construction, hospitality, retail, driver, landscaping, trade & maintenance.
• A valid driver's licence
• The availability to work weekends on a rotating roster
• This role requires some physical components including lifting and standing on your feet for long periods. A level of physical fitness is required and the ability to pass a drug test
• Strong communication skills
• Be proactive and keen to learn new skills
• An interest in machinery and equipment, although training will be provided
• A positive attitude and team player
