Job summary

Kennards Hire is seeking a Service Person Driver to connect customers with our equipment and services. You’ll handle driving, pickups, deliveries, and ensure equipment is prepared for hire.

You will deliver exceptional customer service, demonstrate safe equipment operation, and help maintain branch facilities and gear. Training is provided, with opportunities for profit sharing and weekend allowances as part of the compensation package.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's licence; MR licence preferred but not essential.
• Willingness to work half day Saturdays on a rotating roster.
• Physically fit with ability to lift and stand for long periods.
• Able to pass a drug test and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Instruct customers on safe use of equipment.
• Drive and perform pickup/delivery to customer sites; load/unload equipment safely.
• Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions.
• Maintain equipment through regular servicing and minor repairs.

About the role

Asthe Kennards Hire representative to our customers, we support you with thetraining and development you need to be successful in your role. The Service Person Driver is the critical link between a Kennards Hire branch, ourcustomers and their projects, big or small. You’ll be in charge of everythingthat makes our customers’ job easy; expert advice, pickups, deliveries andmaking sure our equipment is ready for hire.

This role requires you to;

• Instruct and demonstrate to customers on how to safely use our equipment.
• As the Driver, perform pickup and delivery of equipment from customer sites, which includes safely loading and unloading of equipment
• Provide exceptional customer service in all customer interactions
• Maintain the high standard and quality ofequipment through regular servicing and minor repairs.
• Perform cleaning of branch facilities and maintenance of equipment as required
• Perform equipment ‘check in’ and ‘check out’ inspections

About you

• Successful applicants have come from various backgrounds such as; Customerservice, building & construction, hospitality, retail, driver,landscaping, trade & maintenance.
• A valid driver's licence, a MR licence preferred however not essential
• The availability to work half day Saturday's on a rotating roster
• This role requires some physical components including lifting and standing on your feet for long periods. A level of physical fitness is required and the ability to pass a drug test
• Be proactive and keen to learn new skills
• An interest in machinery and equipment, although training will be provided
• A positive attitude and team player
