Job summary

Kennards Hire is seeking a Service Person Driver on the Sunshine Coast to support customers with expert advice, pickups and deliveries, and ensure equipment is ready for hire. You’ll be the critical link between branches, customers and projects, delivering a seamless service.

We provide full training and development, with career pathways nationally and internationally. The role includes profit share, weekend allowances, and employee discounts, with a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• Successful applicants come from diverse backgrounds such as customer service, retail or trades.
• A valid driver's licence is required.
• Availability to work half-day Saturdays on a rotating roster.
• Role involves lifting and standing for long periods and ability to pass a drug test.
• Be proactive, keen to learn and interested in machinery; training provided.
• Positive attitude and team player mindset.

Responsibilities

• Instruct customers on how to safely use equipment.
• As the Driver, perform pickups and deliveries and safely load/unload gear.
• Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions.
• Maintain equipment through regular servicing and minor repairs.
• Clean branch facilities and perform equipment checks in/out.

About the role

Asthe Kennards Hire representative to our customers, we support you with thetraining and development you need to be successful in your role. The Service Person Driver is the critical link between a Kennards Hire branch, ourcustomers and their projects, big or small. You’ll be in charge of everythingthat makes our customers’ job easy; expert advice, pickups, deliveries andmaking sure our equipment is ready for hire.

This role requires you to;

• Instruct and demonstrate to customers on how to safely use our equipment.
• As the Driver, perform pickup and delivery of equipment from customer sites, which includes safely loading and unloading of equipment
• Provide exceptional customer service in all customer interactions
• Maintain the high standard and quality ofequipment through regular servicing and minor repairs.
• Perform cleaning of branch facilities and maintenance of equipment as required
• Perform equipment ‘check in’ and ‘check out’ inspections

About you

• Successful applicants have come from various backgrounds such as; Customerservice, building & construction, hospitality, retail, driver,landscaping, trade & maintenance.
• A valid driver's licence
• The availability to work half day Saturday's on a rotating roster
• This role requires some physical components including lifting and standing on your feet for long periods. A level of physical fitness is required and the ability to pass a drug test
• Be proactive and keen to learn new skills
• An interest in machinery and equipment, although training will be provided
• A positive attitude and team player
