Job summary

Woollahra Council is seeking a permanent Waste Collector to join the Waste Services team at the Alexandria Integrated Facility. You will collect domestic waste across the Woollahra Municipality and assist with waste compactors and trucks.

The role starts at 5:00am, Monday to Friday, with weekend overtime. Candidates must be physically fit, able to follow instructions, and work well in a team; an HR Licence or willingness to obtain one within six months is required.

Qualifications

• Physical fitness to undertake the demands of the role.
• Ability to follow work instructions.
• Demonstrated teamwork and cooperation with peers.
• Demonstrated awareness of WHS requirements and safety procedures.
• Experience in waste collection at local government level is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out domestic waste collection across the Woollahra Municipality.
• Assist in driving waste compactors and waste trucks when required.
• commence at 5:00am from Monday to Friday with weekend overtime available.
