Job summary

Bova Australia is seeking a Washroom Cleaner to join our Laboratory team for a 6-month fixed-term role. You will clean and sanitise equipment, maintain laboratory spaces, and support daily operations to ensure high standards of cleanliness.

Ideal candidates will have previous lab cleaning experience, strong organization, and the ability to lift up to 15 kg. The role starts at our Caringbah HQ with a transition plan to the Caringbah North site, and includes supportive wellbeing programs for staff.

Qualifications

• Laboratory cleaning experience is required.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills are needed.
• Ability to lift up to 15 kg and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise laboratory equipment in line with SOPs.
• Maintain cleanliness of laboratory benches, floors, sinks and common areas.
• Monitor, empty and clean bins and RUM buckets.
• Operate dishwashers, washing machines and vacuum cleaners.
• Restock lab and change room consumables.
• Coordinate waste disposal and bathroom cleanliness.
• Complete end-of-day cleaning tasks per schedules.

We’re looking for a Washroom Cleaner to join our Laboratory team on a 6 month fixed term role.

• Clean and sanitise laboratory equipment in accordance with approved SOPs.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, including floors, benches, windows, sinks, and common areas.
• Monitor, empty, and clean bins and RUM buckets.
• Operate and maintain dishwashers, washing machines, and vacuum cleaners.
• Restock laboratory and change room consumables.
• Refill 70% alcohol bottles and replace tacky mats as required.
• Complete cleanroom, office, and end-of-day cleaning tasks in line with schedules and SOPs.
• Inspect equipment for damage and report any issues to the Supervisor.
• Coordinate waste disposal and maintain bathroom cleanliness as required.

The role will initially be based at our Head Office in Caringbah, with a planned transition to our Caringbah North location on late August/early September. In the meantime, the successful candidate will primarily work at the Head Office, with one day per week allocated to cleaning duties at our Caringbah North site.

What you will bring to Our Team

• Previous experience cleaning in a laboratory environment.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take ownership of workload.
• Promotes and maintains a positive work environment for colleagues and management staff.
• Maintains high attention to detail and awareness of the impact of product quality and presentation.
• Must be able to lift and handle items up to 15kg.
• Able to stand or sit for extended periods as required.
