Job summary

Symphony Recruitment is assisting a well-established logistics and warehousing business to recruit an experienced Warehouse Team Leader for their Sydney operation in Pemulwuy. This hands‑on leadership role requires leading from the floor to ensure daily operations run safely, efficiently and on schedule.

You will coordinate warehouse activities, support team performance and maintain a strong operational and safety culture, with rotating day shifts and opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years' experience as a Warehouse Team Leader, Leading Hand or similar.
• Experience within a fast-paced warehouse, logistics or 3PL environment.
• Current LF Forklift Licence – essential.
• LO Licence highly regarded but not essential.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Hands-on approach to warehouse operations.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and operational deadlines.
• A strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Reliability and flexibility to work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead warehouse employees across daily operations.
• Allocate workloads and coordinate workflow to meet operational deadlines and KPIs.
• Oversee receiving, picking, replenishment, dispatch and stock movements.
• Ensure safe loading, unloading and material handling practices.
• Monitor productivity and support team performance.
• Assist with onboarding, training and development of warehouse employees.
• Maintain a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture.
• Work closely with warehouse management and operational stakeholders.
• Assist with resolving day-to-day operational issues.
• Maintain strong WHS standards and ensure safe work practices are followed.
