Job summary

Blackbook Executive Pty is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in Sydney to oversee day-to-day warehouse and forklift operations. You will coordinate the warehouse team, manage labour allocation and ensure safe, efficient movement of products across the site.

You will work with Site Manager and QA to uphold food safety, quality assurance and site cleanliness. The role requires a hands-on leadership style and strong communication with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• LF Forklift Licence and full driver’s licence required.
• Experience in warehousing, logistics, FMCG or food manufacturing.
• Strong WHS knowledge and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inbound goods, warehouse activities and forklift operations per daily plans.
• Coordinate warehouse team, labour planning and daily work allocation.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate potential supply issues to stakeholders.
• Provide operational guidance to ensure continuity of operations.
• Ensure accurate labeling and order fulfilment for dispatched products.
• Collaborate with Site Manager and QA to maintain food safety and quality standards.
• Complete operational paperwork, reporting and communications accurately and timely.
• Lead and develop forklift and warehouse team to improve safety and performance.

The Company

Our client is a leading business within the FMCG industry, specialising in the storage and distribution of premium food products. They have a strong focus on quality, safety and customer service, with a commitment to delivering premium products across their operations.

The Role

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be working as the Warehouse Supervisor, overseeing the day-to-day warehouse and forklift operations within the facility. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for coordinating the warehouse team, managing labour allocation and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of product throughout the site. The role will also work closely with the technical teams and QA team to ensure quality standards, operational requirements and customer expectations are consistently achieved.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing all incoming goods, warehouse activities and forklift operations in line with daily operational plans.
• Managing and coordinating the warehouse team, including labour planning, daily work allocation and ensuring operational tasks are completed efficiently.
• Maintaining oversight of stock levels across incoming, in-process and dispatch-ready product, ensuring any potential supply issues are communicated to relevant stakeholders.
• Providing operational support and guidance to the wider team to ensure continuity of operations.
• Ensuring all dispatched product meets customer quality and presentation requirements, including accurate labelling and order fulfilment.
• Working closely with the Site Manager and QA team to maintain high standards of food safety, quality assurance and site cleanliness.
• Ensuring all operational paperwork, reporting and workplace communications are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Leading, developing and motivating the Forklift and Warehouse team to drive operational performance, safety and continuous improvement.

Your Background

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Previous experience in a supervisory or team leadership role within warehousing, logistics, FMCG, food manufacturing or a similar operational environment.
• A current LF Forklift Licence and full driver’s licence.
• Experience working within a warehouse, food production or cold storage environment, with an understanding of safe work practices and WHS requirements.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate labour, allocate resources and manage competing operational priorities.
• A hands-on leadership style, with the ability to motivate, develop and drive performance across a team.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple internal stakeholders.
• A strong focus on quality, food safety and continuous improvement, with the ability to maintain high operational standards.
• Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to complete daily reporting and documentation.
• Exposure to FMCG or food-related operations would be highly regarded.
