Job summary

ByAsia Food is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to own the Pemulwuy warehouse's day-to-day operation. The role is hands-on and leadership-focused, requiring you to run a busy floor, set clear expectations and ensure orders, inventory and daily operations are accurate and efficient.

You will report to the Supply Chain Manager and lead a team to ensure safe, accurate, and timely discharge of tasks, while driving improvements to layout, processes and ways of working.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar senior role.
• Experience leading a warehouse team and managing day-to-day performance.
• Strong understanding of receiving, inventory control, order fulfilment and dispatch.
• Experience in fast-paced FMCG, food, wholesale or distribution environment.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Confidence dealing with operational issues and holding people to standards.
• Strong attention to detail around inventory and order accuracy.
• Experience using warehouse/inventory or ERP systems.
• Current LF Forklift Licence and ability to operate counterbalance and high-reach forklifts.
• Strong WHS understanding.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the warehouse team across receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, packing and dispatch.
• Plan the daily workload, allocate resources and ensure priorities are clearly communicated.
• Set expectations for productivity, accuracy, attendance and operational standards.
• Ensure customer orders are picked and dispatched accurately and on time.
• Maintain strong inventory accuracy and investigate stock discrepancies.
• Oversee stock rotation, cycle counts and general inventory control.
• Coordinate inbound containers, deliveries, outbound transport and loading activities.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse.
• Coach and develop warehouse team members and support onboarding of new employees.
• Monitor warehouse KPIs and identify issues before they impact customers.
• Identify and implement practical improvements to warehouse layout, processes and ways of working.
• Work closely with the Supply Chain Manager and broader business to resolve issues.

The Role

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for leading the warehouse team and ensuring the operation runs safely, accurately and efficiently each day.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Lead and coordinate the warehouse team across receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, packing and dispatch
• Plan the daily workload, allocate resources and ensure priorities are clearly communicated
• Set expectations for the team and follow through on productivity, accuracy, attendance and operational standards
• Ensure customer orders are picked and dispatched accurately and on time
• Maintain strong inventory accuracy and investigate stock discrepancies
• Oversee stock rotation, cycle counts and general inventory control
• Coordinate inbound containers, deliveries, outbound transport and loading activities
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse
• Coach and develop warehouse team members and support the onboarding of new employees

• Remain hands-on and support warehouse activities when required

About You

We are looking for someone who takes ownership of the operation and is comfortable making decisions on the warehouse floor.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Team Leader or similar senior warehouse role
• Experience leading a warehouse team and managing day-to-day performance
• Strong understanding of receiving, inventory control, order fulfilment and dispatch
• Experience working in a fast-paced FMCG, food, wholesale or distribution environment
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Confidence dealing with operational issues and holding people accountable to agreed standards
• Strong attention to detail, particularly around inventory and order accuracy
• Experience using warehouse, inventory or ERP systems
• A current LF Forklift Licence
• Experience operating counterbalance and high-reach forklifts
• A good understanding of WHS requirements

Experience within food distribution and food safety environments will be highly regarded.
