Job summary

YTB Plumbing Pty Ltd on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Warehouse & Procurement Manager to own the depot systems, stock, materials, plant and equipment. You’ll ensure resources are in the right place at the right time to keep field crews moving on civil infrastructure works.

You’ll build and improve digital stock-control systems, manage supplier relationships, and coordinate with Works Coordinators and project teams to meet demand and control costs.

Qualifications

• Experience managing warehouse/depot operations and stock control.
• Strong procurement and supplier management experience in civil construction or infrastructure materials.
• Ability to develop and maintain digital stock, plant and equipment control systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage yard, warehouse and storage areas with organisation and standards.
• Own procurement once project needs and delivery timing are set.
• Oversee stock levels, replenishment and regular stocktakes.
• Develop practical digital systems for stock and asset control.
• Track servicing intervals, inspections and maintenance status.
• Coordinate servicing/repairs with external providers.
• Implement simple systems for field crews to report defects and ensure closure.
• Ensure readiness of plant, tools and materials for upcoming projects.
• Coordinate Field & Logistics Support activities and maintain safe warehouse operations.
• Understand plans, BOMs and material requirements for major projects.
• Prepare material take-offs and coordinate deliveries and supplier requirements.
• Work with project teams to forecast upcoming requirements and negotiate pricing/delivery.

Local to the Gold Coast, we are leading civil connection specialists delivering new and upgraded water, sewer and stormwater infrastructure for local developments.

Working with organisations such as Gold Coast Water, Gold Coast City Council, tier 1 & 2 builders and developers, we have built a fierce reputation for delivering complex, challenging infrastructure projects.

And we’re looking for an experienced Warehouse & Procurement Manager to join our growing team.

What You’ll Be Doing

This is not just a warehouse role. You’ll own the systems behind YTB’s depot, stock, materials, plant and equipment – making sure our crews have the right resources, in the right place, at the right time. The goal is simple: Our field teams should never be held up because materials weren’t ordered, stock wasn’t available, equipment wasn’t maintained or the warehouse wasn’t organised.

You'll be responsible for:

• Managing the yard, warehouse and storage areas, including organisation, housekeeping and material storage standards
• Owning materials procurement once project requirements and delivery timing have been confirmed
• Managing stock levels, minimum holdings, replenishment and regular stocktakes
• Developing and maintaining practical digital systems for stock, plant and equipment control
• Tracking servicing intervals, inspections, compliance requirements and maintenance status
• Coordinating servicing and repairs with external providers
• Developing simple and effective systems for field crews to report plant and equipment defects
• Ensuring reported defects are followed through and resolved
• Making sure plant, tools, equipment and materials are ready for upcoming projects
• Managing and coordinating Field & Logistics Support activities
• Maintaining a safe, organised and highly functional warehouse and depot
• Understanding plans, BOMs and material requirements for major projects
• Preparing material take-offs so fittings and orders are ready before projects go live
• Coordinating material deliveries and supplier requirements
• Working closely with the Works Coordinator and project teams to understand upcoming requirements
• Building strong relationships with suppliers and negotiating pricing, availability and delivery outcomes
• Identifying opportunities to reduce wastage, improve purchasing and control costs
• Continuously improving warehouse, procurement and asset-management systems as YTB grows

• Current manual driver's licence
• Positive attitude, great work ethic and a strong handshake!

Experience within civil construction, plumbing, infrastructure, utilities, building supplies or a similar trade environment will be highly regarded.
