Job summary

James Hardie is seeking a Warehouse Operator to join our Carole Park team in Queensland. You will safely operate forklifts, manage stock, and ensure accurate inventory while adhering to safety standards.

We value hands-on experience in warehouse operations, forklift licensing, and attention to detail. SAP experience is a plus, and you will contribute to efficient receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Driver’s License.
• Current Forklift License – up to 12 months experience operating a Forklift.
• SAP experience preferred, but not essential.
• Strong understanding of road transport safety, CoR, and compliance obligations.
• Proven experience in a warehouse operations environment operating a forklift.
• Knowledge of load restraint principles and safe loading practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong interpersonal & communication skills.
• Distribution & warehouse background experience highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and organize products within the warehouse.
• Conduct daily pre-start checks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Receive, store, and dispatch goods in line with company procedures.
• Prepare stock for storage or dispatch, including cutting straps, removing protective sheets, splitting packs, and stacking accessories.
• Maintain accurate inventory handling and ensure products are stored securely.
• Use handheld scanners and the Warehouse Management (WM) system to record stock movements and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Sort damaged stock and assist with Daily/Weekly/Monthly Cycle counts and annual stock takes.
• Manual handling, cutting full parts and making up split packs
• Safely load and secure products onto trucks in compliance with load restraint guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment through housekeeping duties.
