Job summary

Queensland Timber Flooring is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Manager to own and run our Brisbane warehouse. You will report to the Operations and Scheduling Manager and collaborate with a delivery driver, scheduling team and suppliers to ensure on-time, accurate product flow.

The role requires a practical, independent leader with 5+ years in warehouse roles, forklift certification and experience with ERP systems (Ostendo preferred).

Qualifications

• 5+ years in warehouse management or senior storeperson roles in timber/building products or distribution
• Forklift licence current (high-reach preferred)
• Experience with ERP or inventory systems; Ostendo is highly regarded
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Clear communication with drivers, suppliers and office team
• Full Australian driver's licence

Responsibilities

• Run daily warehouse operations: receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of timber flooring and accessories
• Maintain stock records in Ostendo, perform stocktakes and resolve discrepancies
• Coordinate daily deliveries with the driver to ensure on-time site supply
• Check inbound deliveries and resolve issues with stock quality or quantity
• Keep the warehouse safe, tidy and well-organised, including routine maintenance
• Lead WHS practices in forklift operation, manual handling and housekeeping
• Report stock levels, order accuracy and productivity regularly
• Identify and implement more efficient ways of working to save time and costs

Queensland Timber Flooring supplies and installs quality solid timber and engineered flooring across South East Queensland, from Gympie to Byron Bay. Our customers are mostly builders, architects and building designers working on renovations, and they choose us for quality product and craftsmanship.

Our Brisbane warehouse is the engine room of the business. Every job we deliver depends on the right stock, in the right condition, getting to site on time. We are looking for a hands‑on Warehouse Manager to own it.

About the role

You will run our Brisbane warehouse day to day, reporting to our Operations and Scheduling Manager. You will work closely with our Brisbane-based delivery driver, our operations and scheduling team, and our suppliers. This is a role for someone who likes to take ownership. You will be trusted to run the warehouse your way, within our systems and standards, and to make it better.

What you will do

• Run daily warehouse operations: receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of timber flooring and accessories
• Keep stock records accurate in Ostendo, run regular stocktakes and resolve discrepancies, including grades and lengths - Plan and coordinate daily deliveries with our driver so customers and site teams get the right product on time
• Check inbound supplier deliveries and sort out short, damaged or incorrect stock quickly
• Keep the warehouse organised, safe and easy to work in, including layout and basic facility maintenance
• Lead WHS in the warehouse: forklift and traffic safety, manual handling, risk assessments and housekeeping
• Report regularly on stock levels, order accuracy and productivity
• Find and put in place better ways of working that save time and reduce cost

About you

• At least 5 years' experience in warehouse management or a senior storeperson role, ideally in timber, building products, hardware or distribution
• Confident running a warehouse independently and taking ownership of the results
• Experience with an ERP or inventory system. Ostendo experience is highly regarded
• Organised and accurate, with a strong eye for detail
• Current forklift licence (high-reach preferred) and solid WHS knowledge
• Practical and hands‑on, comfortable handling timber products physically
• Clear communicator with drivers, suppliers and the office team
• Full Australian driver's licence
