Job summary

Hoban is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Logistics Manager in Silverwater, NSW to lead the warehouse and logistics operations for an established international food distribution business.

You will manage a team of around 10, coordinate stock control and deliveries, supervise forklift operations, and ensure OH&S compliance while driving efficiency.

This permanent full-time role offers leadership responsibilities and the chance to contribute to operational improvements within a global network.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in a Warehouse Manager or Logistics Manager role in Australia.
• Experience supervising a team of 10+ warehouse staff.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management and logistics.
• Current Australian Forklift Licence (Counterbalance / High Reach).
• Driver's licence is required.
• Bilingual abilities encouraged: Korean, Japanese or Chinese.

About Our Client

Take the lead in a key Sydney warehouse operation for an established international food distribution business with a strong Australian presence and global network. Operating within the fast-moving food distribution sector and supplying a diverse portfolio of Asian dry and frozen food products, our client is seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Logistics Manager to lead its warehouse and logistics operations in Silverwater, NSW

About You

You will be a hands-on and supportive warehouse leader who enjoys working closely with your team and leading by example.

The Opportunity

Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day warehouse and logistics operations, leading a team of warehouse employees and ensuring that all activities are carried out efficiently, safely and accurately. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires someone who can confidently manage people while also assisting with operational tasks, including deliveries when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse and logistics operations.
• Lead, supervise and coordinate a warehouse team of approximately 10 employees.
• Manage stock control, inventory management and regular stocktakes.
• Receive, inspect, unload, label and store incoming goods.
• Conduct quality checks on equipment and inventory.
• Manage appropriate storage of inventory, including freezer storage where required.
• Monitor stock discrepancies and ensure accurate inventory records.
• Operate forklifts (Counterbalance / High Reach) when required.
• Coordinate transportation and delivery activities.
• Assist with deliveries when operationally required.
• Ensure compliance with OH&S procedures and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with internal departments and management.
• Identify operational issues and implement improvements to warehouse efficiency.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• At least 2 years' experience in a Warehouse Manager or Logistics Manager position in Australia.
• Or a minimum of 3 years' experience in a Warehouse Supervisor role with substantial team leadership responsibilities.
• Proven experience managing and supervising a team of 10 or more warehouse employees.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, transportation and inventory management.
• A current Australian Forklift Licence (Counterbalance / High Reach).
• A current Australian Driver's Licence.
• A hands-on approach and willingness to assist with deliveries when required.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
• High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
• A proactive attitude with the ability to take initiative and improve operational processes.
• The ability to commence work as early as 7:00 am.
• Bilingual skills in Korean, Japanese or Chinese would be highly regarded.
• Able to commute to office by your own vehicle (There is no reliable public transport nearby).
