Job summary

Early Settler in Adelaide CBD seeks a Retail Warehouse Operations Supervisor to lead our delivery hub serving SA and NT. You will own end‑to‑end warehouse and home delivery operations, including scheduling, safety, and performance management.

You will drive inventory accuracy, dispatch efficiency and customer satisfaction while managing labour, costs and third‑party partners. A hands‑on leader with strong collaboration across teams and stores.

Qualifications

  • At least five years’ experience across warehouse, distribution, transport, last‑mile or home delivery operations.
  • Experience managing a regional hub or comparable high‑volume operation.
  • Proven experience leading teams and managing third‑party delivery partners.
  • Strong record of improving safety, service, productivity, inventory accuracy and operating costs.
  • Experience in furniture, bulky goods or multi‑site retail preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own the daily and weekly operating plan across inbound freight, receipting, storage, picking, dispatch, customer collections and deliveries.
  • Ensure customer orders are complete, accurate and ready within promised timeframes.
  • Lead the end‑to‑end home delivery experience, including scheduling, capacity, customer communication and issue resolution.
  • Manage third‑party delivery partners against service, safety, compliance and cost expectations.
  • Improve inventory accuracy while reducing damage, stock variance, failed deliveries and avoidable re‑deliveries.
  • Build a strong safety culture across manual handling, loading, unloading, equipment, racking and warehouse operations.
  • Manage labour, delivery and controllable costs without compromising safety or customer experience.
  • Use performance data to identify issues, improve productivity and deliver sustainable operational change.
  • Partner with SA management, Regional leadership, Supply Chain, Customer Experience and Support Office teams.

We’re looking for an experienced Retail Warehouse Operations Supervisor to lead our Adelaide CBD delivery hub - the only Early Settler hub servicing customers and stores across SA and NT. This role is warehouse is based at our Adelaide retail site.

This is a visible, hands‑on role with end‑to‑end accountability for our store warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, customer order fulfilment, dispatch, home delivery, delivery partners, safety and team performance.

Description

We’re after someone who can:

What you’ll bring
  • At least five years’ experience across warehouse, distribution, transport, last‑mile or home delivery operations
  • Experience managing a regional hub or comparable high‑volume operation
  • Proven experience leading teams and managing third‑party delivery partners
  • A strong record of improving safety, service, productivity, inventory accuracy and operating costs
  • Experience in furniture, bulky goods or multi‑site retail will be highly regarded
  • Sound knowledge of warehouse systems, RF scanning, inventory control, dispatch and delivery scheduling
  • Strong understanding of WHS, contractor management and applicable Chain of Responsibility obligations
  • Confidence working with operational KPIs, labour plans, budgets and delivery‑cost data
  • Clear communication, strong judgement and the ability to manage complex customer escalations
  • A current driver’s licence. A forklift high‑risk work licence or relevant logistics qualifications will be highly regarded
  • Flexibility to support early starts, weekends and peak trading periods when required
