Job summary

Early Settler is seeking a hands-on Retail Store Person to keep the store running smoothly, from the shop floor to the back dock. You will support daily retail operations, help customers collect orders with a smile, and assist with stock movement in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a willingness to perform manual handling of furniture and products, excellent communication, and reliability within a collaborative team. Roster is Wednesday to Saturday in NSW, Australia.

Qualifications

• Prior warehousing or distribution experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Physically capable of lifting, carrying and moving items.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks and office software.

Responsibilities

• Load weekly trucks and containers with precision.
• Assist customers with order collections to ensure a seamless experience.
• Support stock movement for the shop floor and back-of-store warehouse.
• Accurately receipting goods into the operating system.

What is the Role?

We’re looking for an energetic and dependable Retail Store Person to become the behind-the-scenes hero of our retail team. In this dynamic, fast-paced role, you’ll support daily retail operations, help customers collect their orders with a smile, and keep things running smoothly in the back-of-store warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

• Loading of weekly trucks and containers with precision and care
• Assisting customers with order collections - making it a seamless experience
• Supporting the retail sales team with stock/product movement for the shop floor
• Accurately receipting of goods into our operating system
• Assembly of furniture with pride and attention to detail
• Responsible for contributing to and upholding all OH&S requirements
• Maintaining good housekeeping techniques and an organized, safe and tidy store and warehouse
• To collaboratively work as part of a team, use your initiative, problem solve and handle a fast paced environment.

Skills and Experiences:

• Previous experience in a similar role supporting warehousing and distribution.
• Good Computer skills (email, Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook)
• A passion to help people and a desire to get results
• The physical capability to handle our products
• Excellent communication skills
• Reliable, committed, proactive and driven with a can-do attitude
• As we are a furniture store, the role involves regular manual handling of products including lifting, carrying and moving items of varying sizes. Applicants must be physically capable of safely performing these tasks as part of their daily duties.

• Applicants must be a AU citizen, resident, or have already secured the right to work in Australia and therefore hold a valid visa.
• Roster - Wednesday - Saturday
