Job summary

Early Settler is seeking a hands-on Retail Store Person to support daily store operations, assist customers with order collections, and help keep the back‑store warehouse running smoothly.

You will handle loading, stock movement, furniture assembly, and uphold OH&S standards while delivering friendly service in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar warehousing/distribution role.
• Strong computer skills (email, Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Excellent communication and a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Load weekly trucks and containers with care.
• Assist customers with order collections for a seamless experience.
• Support stock movement for the shop floor and relocate items as needed.
• Receipting and inventory checks in the operating system.
• Assemble furniture with attention to detail.
• Maintain OH&S compliance and a clean, safe store/warehouse.
• Collaborate with the team in a fast-paced environment.

What is the Role?

Are you a hands‑on go‑getter who loves being on the move and thrives in a team environment? This is your chance to play a vital role that keeps our store humming - from the shop floor to the back dock!

We’re looking for an energetic and dependable Retail Store Person to become the behind‑the‑scenes hero of our retail team. In this dynamic, fast‑paced role, you’ll support daily retail operations, help customers collect their orders with a smile, and keep things running smoothly in the back‑of‑store warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading of weekly trucks and containers with precision and care


• Assisting customers with order collections - making it a seamless experience


• Supporting the retail sales team with stock/product movement for the shop floor


• Accurately receipting of goods into our operating system


• Assembly of furniture with pride and attention to detail


• Responsible for contributing to and upholding all OH&S requirements


• Maintaining good housekeeping techniques and an organized, safe and tidy store and warehouse


• To collaboratively work as part of a team, use your initiative, problem solve and handle a fast paced environment.

Skills and Experiences

Who are we Looking for?

• Previous experience in a similar role supporting warehousing and distribution.


• Good Computer skills (email, Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook)


• A passion to help people and a desire to get results


• The physical capability to handle our products


• Excellent communication skills


• Reliable, committed, proactive and driven with a can‑do attitude


• As we are a furniture store, the role involves regular manual handling of products including lifting, carrying and moving items of varying sizes. Applicants must be physically capable of safely performing these tasks as part of their daily duties.

Requirements

• Applicants must be an AU citizen, resident, or have already secured the right to work in Australia and therefore hold a valid visa.
