Job summary

Prydes Confectionery in Knoxfield, VIC is seeking a Warehouse / Forklift Operator to join our production and distribution team. You will safely move goods, load/unload, and support stock movement between Warehouse, Production and Packing.

The role requires a minimum of 2+ years in a warehouse or forklift position, a valid forklift license (high reach preferred), strong attention to detail and teamwork, and availability for a 5am start day shift with occasional afternoon cover.

Responsibilities

• Assist with stocktakes and general warehouse duties.
• Maintain a clean, safe and HACCP-compliant warehouse; report issues.

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse / Forklift Operator to join our team in Knoxfield, Victoria. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our manufacturing and distribution operations by ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of goods within our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts, including high-reach forklifts.

• Load and unload trucks and containers, including deliveries and collections.

• Move materials, WIP, raw materials, finished products and equipment between Warehouse, Production and Packing.

• Stack, palletise and stretch-wrap products as required.

• Put away stock and stage materials for just-in-time production.

• Assist with stocktakes, stock rotation and general warehouse duties.

• Undertake general labouring, manual handling, equipment cleaning and housekeeping.

• Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse in accordance with HACCP requirements.

• Ensure equipment is used safely and efficiently to minimise damage to stock and equipment.

• Communicate effectively with Production and Packing teams and respond to operational requirements.

• Identify and report safety, quality or operational issues and contribute to process improvements.

• Follow and adhere all company policies, procedures and work instructions, including Food Safety, HACCP, GMP and LOTO requirements.

About You

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a similar warehouse or forklift role

• Valid forklift license, with high reach experience preferred

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Effective communication and teamwork skills

• Confident using computers and workplace systems

• Proactive approach to safety and risk management

• Availability for day shift (5am starts), with flexibility to cover afternoon shifts when required
