Job summary

XENON Systems is seeking a hands‑on Warehouse, Dispatch & Logistics Assistant in Melbourne to support daily warehouse operations and maintain smooth freight movement.

You will handle picking, packing, and dispatch, assist with FedEx Ship Manager tasks, and coordinate carrier schedules to ensure on‑time deliveries.

Qualifications

• 1+ years' experience in a warehouse, dispatch, or logistics support role.

We're looking for a reliable Warehouse, Dispatch & Logistics Assistant to support our daily warehouse operations and keep freight moving smoothly. You'll be hands‑on with picking, packing, and dispatch, while also helping manage our FedEx/DHL shipping and general freight coordination.

What you'll do

Warehouse operations

• Receive, check off, and put away incoming stock
• Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently
• Assist with cycle counts and stock reconciliation in Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Keep the warehouse tidy, organised, and compliant with safety procedures
• Support the Warehouse & Logistics Lead with daily scheduling and workload priorities

Dispatch & logistics

• Process outbound shipments through FedEx Ship Manager: create labels, print manifests, and prepare consignments
• Book and schedule freight with carriers (parcel, LTL, and FTL) as directed
• Track shipments and follow up on delays, missing items, or delivery issues
• Assist with freight documentation, including packing slips, freight class/weight details, and customs paperwork where required
• Log and escalation carrier service issues, damage claims, or invoice discrepancies to the Logistics Lead
• Help monitor dispatch cut-off times and dock scheduling to keep shipments on track

What you need

• 1+ years' experience in a warehouse, dispatch, or logistics support role
• Familiarity with FedEx Ship Manager or similar shipping software
• Basic understanding of freight terms (freight class, dimensional weight) is a plus
• Comfortable using a WMS or inventory system, plus basic Excel skills
• Forklift licence preferred (or willingness to obtain one)
• Good attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
• Team player, physically fit, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
