Job summary

Cafeideas in Campbelltown is seeking a reliable Warehouse Assistant / Storeperson to support daily warehouse operations, including picking and packing orders, receiving stock and organising inventory.

You will work with the Warehouse Manager, safely operate a forklift, handle bulky hospitality equipment, and help keep the warehouse clean and efficient in a small team.

Qualifications

Cafeideas is looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Assistant / Storeperson to join our warehouse team in Campbelltown. You will work closely with our Warehouse Manager and assist with the day-to-day running of the warehouse, including picking and packing customer orders, receiving stock, unloading containers, organising inventory and maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment. We supply commercial hospitality equipment and furniture, so the role involves handling a broad range of products including commercial kitchen equipment, chairs, tables, tabletops and other bulky items.

Key responsibilities

• Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Assist the Warehouse Manager with daily warehouse operations
• Load and unload trucks and delivery vehicles
• Unload shipping containers and incoming stock
• Operate a forklift safely when receiving, moving and dispatching stock
• Check incoming deliveries against paperwork and report discrepancies or damage
• Organise and store stock correctly within the warehouse
• Prepare furniture and commercial equipment for dispatch
• Assist with palletising and wrapping interstate freight
• Keep warehouse aisles, storage areas and workspaces clean, organised and safe

About you

• Current Australian forklift licence – essential
• Previous warehouse, storeperson or logistics experience preferred
• Comfortable with manual handling and lifting bulky or heavy products
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a small team
• Good attention to detail when picking and checking orders
• Able to follow instructions and work independently when required
• Good understanding of warehouse safety
• Reasonable level of physical fitness
• Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
