Job summary

Viya Imports Pty Ltd. is expanding its warehouse team in Wetherill Park, NSW. We are seeking full-time Storepersons to support receipt, storage, picking and despatch of stock for Australian customers.

The role requires lifting heavy stock, operating pallet jacks and high-reach equipment, and using a computerised inventory system. Availability from 5:00am and Saturdays is essential in a permanent full-time position.

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate II or III or 1+ year warehouse experience.
• 1+ year experience in receiving, put-away, inventory control, despatch and order-picking.
• Experience operating pallet jacks, hand trucks and order-picking equipment; high-reach highly regarded.
• Accurate stock control and bin location management using computerised inventory system.
• Ability to safely perform manual handling and lifting of heavy stock.
• Availability to work from 5:00am and on Saturdays.
• Appropriate rights to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Receive and book in containers and supplier deliveries, inspect goods for damage, reconcile consignments against invoices.
• Put away and retrieve stock using pallet jacks and high-reach equipment; label cartons with bin locations.
• Update the computerised inventory system to track stock movements and bin locations.
• Pick customer orders using manual and electronic picking equipment; verify against pick slips for accuracy.
• Pack, weigh and seal orders; prepare consignments for despatch; release freight and complete documentation.
• Conduct cycle counts and assist with regular stocktakes to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Safely handle 20kg bags and bulk cartons following safety procedures.

Storepersons Viya Imports Pty Ltd. We import and wholesale Indian groceries, including rice, lentils, flours, spices, pickles, dairy and frozen products, to independent grocers and online customers across Australia. Everything ships through our Wetherill Park warehouse. Due to continued growth in order volumes, we are expanding our warehouse operations and are seeking full-time Storepersons to support the accurate receipt, storage, picking and despatch of stock. Location: Wetherill Park, New South Wales. Employment type: Permanent, full-time. Annual remuneration: $79,423 to $85,000 plus superannuation.

What you will be doing

• Receiving and booking in containers and supplier deliveries, including unloading vehicles, opening packages where required, breaking down pallets, inspecting goods for damage, and reconciling every consignment against supplier invoices before acceptance.
• Putting away and retrieving stock using pallet jacks, hand trucks and high-reach equipment, and labelling cartons with their designated bin locations.
• Updating the computerised inventory system to ensure stock movements, quantities and bin locations remain accurate.
• Picking customer orders using manual and electronically guided order-picking equipment, checking each item against the pick slip to ensure order accuracy.
• Packing, weighing and sealing customer orders, preparing consignments for despatch, releasing freight, and completing the required consignment documentation.
• Conducting cycle counts and assisting with regular stocktakes to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Safely handling 20kg bags and bulk cartons while following workplace health and safety procedures.

What we need

• AQF Certificate II or III, or at least 1 year of relevant warehouse experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
• At least 1 year experience in receiving, put-away, inventory control, order picking and despatch within a warehouse environment.
• Experience operating materials handling equipment, including pallet jacks, hand trucks and order-picking equipment. Experience operating high-reach equipment is highly regarded.
• Accuracy in stock control, bin location management and the use of a computerised inventory management system.
• Ability to safely perform manual handling tasks, including lifting and moving heavy stock.
• Availability to work from 5:00am and on Saturdays.
