Job summary

Safety Xpress Pty Ltd in Prestons, NSW is seeking a reliable Warehouse Assistant & Delivery Driver for a full-time role (38 hours/week). You will receive stock, pick/pack orders, and deliver locally using company vehicles within 7:00am–5:00pm, helping keep the warehouse safe and operations efficient.

You’ll need a current Australian driver’s licence, a hands-on approach, basic computer skills and good teamwork. Forklift licence is a plus.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Assistant & Delivery Driver to join our Prestons branch. If you enjoy hands‑on work, a mix of warehouse duties and local deliveries, and being part of a supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

This is a full‑time position working 38 hours per week, with working hours scheduled within our branch’s operational hours of 7:00am to 5:00pm.

You’ll help keep our warehouse running safely and efficiently by receiving stock, preparing customer orders and supporting dispatch. You’ll also complete local customer deliveries using company vehicles, ensuring products arrive safely, accurately and on time.

Whether you’re preparing an order or delivering to a customer’s site, you’ll play an important part in providing dependable, friendly service.

What You’ll Do

• Receive, unload and store incoming stock, including assisting with container unloading.
• Pick, pack and prepare orders for customer collection, freight and local delivery.
• Complete local customer deliveries using company vehicles.
• Check orders and delivery paperwork, safely load and secure products, and obtain proof of delivery where required.
• Carry out vehicle checks and promptly report faults, delivery issues or damaged goods.
• Assist with freight bookings, dispatch documentation and stock records.
• Support stocktakes and cycle counts, reporting stock discrepancies.
• Assist customers collecting orders and provide professional service at delivery sites.
• Help with basic product assembly and manufacturing as required.
• Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment where appropriately licensed and trained.
• Keep the warehouse clean and organised, follow safe handling practices and report hazards promptly.

About You

You’re reliable, practical and take pride in getting the job done safely and accurately. You work well with others and can manage assigned tasks independently.

You’ll bring:

• A current valid Australian driver’s licence.
• Willingness to complete local deliveries and provide friendly customer service.
• The ability to safely perform hands‑on duties, including lifting, loading and unloading.
• Good organisational skills, attention to detail and time management.
• Clear communication skills and a positive approach to teamwork.
• Basic computer skills and confidence learning new systems.

Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, dispatch or similar role is highly regarded, as are a forklift licence, delivery driving experience and familiarity with inventory or warehouse systems.
