Job summary

Dakeeta Pty Ltd is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Assistant based in Sydney. You will pick, pack and prepare customer orders while handling stock, deliveries and forklift movement. The role requires accurate stock control, safe operation and teamwork with sales and admin to meet deadlines.

We value reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach in a busy warehouse. Part-time hours with potential for additional shifts during busy periods are available.

Qualifications

• Current, valid forklift licence.
• Previous warehouse/storeperson experience preferred.
• Experience with stock control or inventory systems preferred.
• Basic computer skills for orders and records.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Receiving stock and checking deliveries against paperwork.
• Loading and unloading trucks and vehicles safely.
• Operating a forklift to move, store and retrieve stock.
• Organising products and maintaining stock locations.
• Assisting with stocktakes and inventory management.
• Preparing orders for deliveries and customer pickups.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse.
• Coordinating with sales/admin to ensure timely order readiness.
• Following workplace health and safety procedures at all times.

Job description

Key responsibilities

Picking, packing and preparing customer orders accurately and efficiently

Receiving incoming stock and checking deliveries against paperwork

Loading and unloading trucks and customer vehicles safely

Operating a forklift to move, store and retrieve stock

Organising products and maintaining accurate warehouse stock locations

Assisting with stocktakes and inventory management

Preparing orders for deliveries and scheduled customer collections

Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and safe

Working closely with our sales and administration teams to ensure orders are ready on time

Following workplace health and safety procedures at all times

About you

Current, valid forklift licence

Your own reliable vehicle for travelling to and from work

Previous warehouse, storeperson, picking and packing or similar experience preferred

Experience with stock control or inventory systems preferred

Basic computer skills

Reliable, punctual and ready to work

Hardworking, motivated and take pride in what you do

Organised with excellent attention to detail

A team player who is also confident working independently

Physically capable of safely handling products weighing approximately 20–30kg, using appropriate equipment and assistance where required

Comfortable working in a busy, hands-on warehouse environment

Friendly, respectful and professional when dealing with customers and colleagues

Safety-conscious and committed to maintaining a tidy workplace

Willing to learn, take initiative and help the team succeed

Flexible with your availability and happy to assist with additional shifts during busier periods

Ability to follow workplace safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE

Availability to work a minimum of 3 days per week, with flexibility for additional days when required
