Job summary

St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join our Nambour team. This permanent, full-time role (38 hours per week) supports Warehouse, Retail and Logistics operations, with hands-on inventory, distribution work and safe operation of material handling equipment in our Nambour warehouse.

You will have forklift and driver’s licenses, a proactive approach, and the ability to work to deadlines in a supportive team environment while upholding the Society’s values and

Qualifications

• Previous experience providing warehouse and logistic support services.
• Understanding of warehousing and logistic operations including inventory management, picking and packaging and distribution.
• Forklift License Required (or able to obtain).
• Driver's License Required.
• Ability to work within timeframes and priorities own workload to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services.
• Understanding of and commitment to safe workplace practices, ensuring all policies, procedures and legislative requirements are adhered to.
• Ability to work as a member of a team, providing support as required to ensure organizational objectives are achieved.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society.
• Understanding of risk management principles including current WHS legislation and regulations.

The Role

We are looking for our newest team member to support our Warehouse, Retail and Logistic Operations in Nambour!

This is a hands-on role, and no two days will be the same. Our Warehouse Assistants are driven and passionate for warehousing and logistics. They are safety focused and a self-starter, responsible for performing inventory and distribution works, licensed operation of appropriate material handling equipment and use of warehousing tools and equipment where required.

This is aPermanent,Full- timeposition(38 hours per week)based inour Nambourwarehouse.
