NSW Health in The Maitland Hospital is seeking a Wardsperson to support patients, clinical staff and the wider care team in a casual, hands-on role. You will help transport patients between wards, assist with hygiene, move equipment, respond to emergencies and contribute to a clean, safe environment.

Full training and ongoing support are provided so you’ll feel confident from day one. Availability to work on a 7-day rotating roster across locations within the Hunter New England Local Health

We’re seeking a dedicated Wardsperson to join our highly skilled operations team. In this essential, hands‑on role, you’ll play a key part in the safe and efficient running of the hospital by supporting patients, clinical staff and the wider care team. In this role, you’ll:

Requirements:

• Ability to work shifts within a 7 Day rotating roster and willingness to work across other locations within the Hunter New England Local Health.

• To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia. Employment of a temporary visa holder will only be offered in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
