Job summary

You will handle food preparation, temperature checks, and customer service while supporting the catering team to deliver high-quality patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Good communication (written & verbal).
• Willingness to work in ward kitchens and patient-facing role.

Responsibilities

• Regeneration of chilled/frozen food and preparation of simple sauces.
• Plating and service of cold and hot food items with meal delivery to patients, including service of condiments.
• Probe and record food temperatures; monitor equipment temperatures.
• Beverage service to patients; wash and refill water jugs and beakers.
• Take patient orders and communicate requirements to catering staff.
• Prepare patient meal trays.
• Clear meal trays, crockery and cutlery from all food areas.
• Sort and dispose of catering waste materials.
• Clean kitchen surfaces and equipment per schedules.
• Order and receipt of goods to maintain stock levels.
• Complete catering paperwork such as temperature checks and monitoring.
• Undertake required training to improve performance and service.
• Work cooperatively with colleagues and perform duties as directed.
