Job summary

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Catering Assistant for Broadgreen Hospital. The role involves preparing patient meals, plating food, and serving meals to patients with attention to temperatures and hygiene.

You will work as part of the catering team, undertake training as required, and contribute to a high standard of patient care and service across the hospital.

Qualifications

• Willing to undertake training as required.
• Able to work co-operatively with colleagues as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient meal trays and plate hot and cold food items.
• Deliver meals to patients and communicate dietary requirements to the catering department.
• Record patient and equipment temperatures as part of quality checks.
• Provide beverage service to patients and assist with water jugs and beakers.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, work surfaces and crockery.
• Order and receive goods from the main catering unit to maintain stock levels.
