Job summary

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Catering Assistant for the Royal Liverpool Hospital campus. The role involves preparing and serving meals to patients, staff and visitors, with duties spanning main kitchens, ward kitchens and hospital dining areas.

You will perform cleaning and hygiene monitoring duties and support other retail outlets within the hospital, including potential weekend and bank holiday work.

Qualifications

• Post requires previous catering experience, including cooking snacks and front-of-house service.
• Flexible to cover across sites and wards as required.
• Must be able to work Mon-Fri with potential Bank Holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals to patients, staff and visitors.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene in kitchens, wards, dining rooms and cafes.
• Undertake cleaning and monitoring duties as part of hygiene compliance.
• Support hospital outlets and be prepared to cover in other areas as required.
