Job description

We are seeking expressions of interest from passionate and skilled individuals to join our expanding national Board in a voluntary capacity. We currently have two vacancies and are specifically seeking individuals with relevant experience and professional expertise to lead one of the following portfolios:

  • Company Secretary
  • Treasurer

Established in 2014, 100 Women is a collective giving circle that transforms the lives of women and girls. It enables everyday people to be involved in creating a world where all women and girls can live safely with access to health, education and economic freedom. 100 Women does this by combining donations and knowledge to provide impactful grants.

In 2025, 100 Women has supported 39,000 women and girls across 9 different countries to thrive, funding almost $1.8 million across 49 projects focused on health, safety, education and economic opportunity.

To do this important work, we need leaders who are passionate about giving back to the local, national and global community. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a groundbreaking, philanthropic network at an exciting stage in its development.

100 Women is based in Perth, but this role will also be considered for individuals based in other parts of Australia.

Company Secretary Responsibilities
  • Connection with 100 Women, our focus and our values
  • Provide guidance and expertise to 100 Women regarding all governance matters
  • Reporting and main contact for ASIC and ACNC
  • Provide input into risk and governance projects led by the Operations Committee
  • Support Chair with planning, agenda, minutes and actions for Board meetings
  • Planning and coordination for AGM
  • Support Chair with ad‑hoc projects and strategy day preparation and planning
The ideal candidate for Company Secretary position will have the following experience:
  • Experience in performing the functions of a company secretary or work as a qualified lawyer
  • AICD graduate of Governance role or equivalent experience
  • Experience in a Governance role within an NFP or community based organisation
Treasurer Responsibilities
  • Connection with 100 Women, our focus and our values
  • Provide strategic financial leadership and advice to 100 Women across all financial, insurance and related matters
  • Provide guidance and support to, and collaborate with, the volunteer Finance team and 100 Women staff or contractors
  • Contribute to organisational risk management and governance initiatives
  • Oversee preparation of financial reports, including the Annual Financial Statements, and present bi‑monthly financial updates to the Board
  • Coordinate the annual audit and development of the Annual Report in liaison with external auditors
  • Support the annual budgeting process and monitor Profit & Loss performance
  • Support the Chair with ad‑hoc projects as required
The ideal candidate for the Treasurer position will have the following experience:
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • CA or CPA qualification
  • Completion of the AICD program or equivalent governance experience
  • Financial management experience within a not‑for‑profit or community‑focused organisation would be advantageous
