Job summary

Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School (PEGS) invites applications for a passionate voice teacher to deliver individual tuition and support for ensembles at the Keilor East campus. The role focuses on secondary students (Years 7–10) and may be split across two candidates depending on timetable.

The successful applicant will hold music qualifications, be eligible for VIT registration or Working With Children Check, and be able to work in Australia.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in music and experience in teaching voice.
• Ability to engage and inspire students in individual tuition and small group settings.
• Ability to work effectively with students, parents and staff.
• Support for a culture of thinking and student care and wellbeing.
• Support for PEGS music events and activities.

Responsibilities

• Teach voice to secondary students in Years 7–10.
• Provide individual tuition and small group voice sessions; assist ensembles.
• Support PEGS music events and activities and ensemble programming.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive learning environment.
• Role runs 0.5–0.6 FTE as a long service leave replacement (Jan–Mar 2027).
