Job summary

Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong seeks a temporary full-time Classroom Teacher to teach Visual Arts from 28 January 2027 to 26 January 2028. The role supports growth in faith and learning so that students may reach their full potential.

The successful applicant must be registered to teach with NESA, hold Level B Accreditation, and obtain a Working With Children Check. Ability to teach Religious Education is desirable.

Job description

A temporary full time position commencing 28 January 2027 until 26 January 2028. The successful applicant will be required to teach Visual Arts. The role of Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

• Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
• Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
• Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
• Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in Visual Arts.
• Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
• Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.

DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA

• Ability to teach Religious Education.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Appropriate qualifications for teaching nominated Key Learning Area (s).

• The applicant must be registered to teach with NESA.

WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE

This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
