Job summary

Australian Vintage is seeking enthusiastic Vintage Cellar Hands to join the 2027 team at Buronga Hill Winery, near Mildura. You’ll work with our cellar and winemaking teams to safely process wine during vintage.

Responsibilities include cellar operations, transferring wine, filtration, sampling, and ensuring wine quality. A forklift licence is valued, and you’ll be on a rotating schedule across days and nights.

Qualifications

• A strong commitment to working safely and following instructions.
• Reliability and willingness to contribute throughout the full vintage period.
• A practical approach and mechanical aptitude.
• Good communication skills.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Previous vintage, cellar, winery or production experience is highly regarded, but not essential.
• A forklift licence is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Complete cellar operations safely, efficiently and in accordance with instructions.
• Transferring wine between tanks and other vessels.
• Assisting with filtration operations.
• Collecting samples from wine tanks and barrels.
• Making additions and gas adjustments to tanks.
• Preparing wines to meet production requirements.
• Monitoring wine and supporting our team to maintain wine quality.
• Recording production and cellar information accurately.
• Cleaning equipment and maintaining high housekeeping standards throughout cellar areas.
