Job summary

The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre is seeking a Victims Assistance Program Team Leader in Warrnambool. The role leads a client-centred program delivering high-quality case management, trauma-informed support, and advocacy across families affected by violence.

Ideal candidates will have a social work degree and at least four years post-qualification experience, with strong collaboration and leadership skills to mentor staff and coordinate services in a regional setting.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in social work, or similar discipline.
• Minimum four (4) years relevant experience post qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead Victims Assistance Program with an emphasis on trauma-informed practice.
• Oversee case management, risk assessment, safety planning and advocacy through the criminal justice system.
• Provide supervision, debriefing and self-care practices for staff and students.
• Recruitment and workforce development; performance management and professional development.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support clients’ needs.
