Job summary

Numbers Executive is partnering with a leading global investment bank to appoint a Vice President to its Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) team. The role is based in Sydney or Melbourne, leading M&A and capital markets transactions with a strong emphasis on digital infrastructure.

You will act as a principal client contact, oversee valuation and modelling, originate ideas in data centres and fibre, and mentor junior bankers within a collaborative, high-performing culture.

Qualifications

• VP-level investment banking experience, preferably within a large advisory platform.
• Strong transaction execution with complex deals end-to-end.
• Excellent financial modelling and valuation skills.
• Interest in digital infrastructure sector and its investor base.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day M&A and capital markets transactions across TMT, with a focus on digital infrastructure.
• Act as key client contact, building trusted relationships with management, boards and sponsors.
• Oversee valuation, modelling, due diligence, and preparation of pitch materials and docs.

This leading coverage group has a rapidly expanding presence in digital infrastructure and is seeking to add a VP to the team to be based in either Sydney or Melbourne.

As a VP, you will lead the day-to-day running of M&A and capital markets transactions across TMT, with a particular focus on digital infrastructure. Day to day you will:

• Act as a key point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships with management teams, boards and financial sponsors
• Oversee valuation work, financial modelling, due diligence and the preparation of pitch materials and transaction documents
• Develop sector insight and originate new ideas, especially in data centres, fibre, towers and connectivity infrastructure
• Mentor, develop and support Associates and Analysts, and help build a collegiate and high performing culture

Required skills & experience

• VP-level investment banking experience working within a large advisory platform, with exposure to TMT, infrastructure or a related coverage group
• Strong transaction execution experience, with a track record of managing complex deals from start to finish
• Excellent financial modelling and valuation skills
• Knowledge of, or strong interest in, the digital infrastructure sector and its investor base, including infrastructure funds and private equity
• Clear, confident communication skills and the ability to build credibility with senior clients
• Sound judgement, attention to detail and the ability to manage several priorities at once
• A degree in finance, economics, business or a related field. A CFA, MBA or equivalent is an advantage but not required
