University of Sydney seeks a Veterinary Specialist in Equine Surgery to join the UVTHC Camden. This full-time, three-year fixed-term role offers an opportunity to deliver high-level surgical care, teach DVM students, and expand the equine caseload within a world-class veterinary teaching hospital.

The role includes a base salary aligned with HEO level 9, 17% superannuation, and specialist loading when registered, with relocation support and visa sponsorship available.

Qualifications

  • Degree in veterinary science registrable in NSW (Australia).
  • Diplomate or Fellowship permitting registration as Specialist in Equine/Large Animal Surgery.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain reputation for academic excellence.
  • Provide high-quality specialist equine surgical services during business hours.
  • Develop and support an expanding equine caseload for the UVTHC.
  • Contribute to education of DVM students and continuing vet education.
  • Coordinate daily activities of the equine unit; support Camden Equine Hospital after-hours on a rotation.
  • Participate in meetings and development activities with Hospital leadership.
