Job summary

WestVETS Animal Hospital Anstead is a busy practice in Brisbane's western suburbs. This full-time role supports reception duties, appointment management, and client communications to ensure a smooth daily operation.

You will welcome clients and their animals, provide empathetic service, process payments, and help the veterinary team. Weekend half-days are expected, with remuneration commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Previous reception or customer service experience is essential.
• Experience within a veterinary or medical environment is valued but not essential.
• Familiarity with Vision Software would be highly regarded.
• Reliable, resilient and a strong team player.
• Able to multitask in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their animals in a warm, professional manner.

WestVETS Animal Hospital Anstead is a busy, well-equipped small animal and equine practice located in Brisbane's western suburbs. This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where no two days are the same. From welcoming clients and their pets to managing appointments, answering phones and supporting our veterinary team, you'll be an important part of the WestVETS experience.

Key responsibilities

Providing a warm and professional welcome to our clients and their animals

Delivering exceptional customer service with empathy and compassion

Managing appointments and a high volume of phone & email enquiries

Processing payments and maintaining accurate client records

Supporting the veterinary and nursing teams

Helping ensure the smooth day-to-day running of our busy practice

Previous reception or customer service experience is essential

Experience within a veterinary or medical environment, including familiarity with Vision Software, would be highly regarded, but is not essential

Full-time position - 38 hours per week

Based at WestVETS Animal Hospital, Anstead

Some Saturday work is required, generally one half-day per month

Employment conditions and remuneration are in accordance with the Animal Care and Veterinary Services Award

Remuneration will be commensurate with experience, with consideration given to relevant skills and previous experience

Immediate start available for the right candidate
