Job description

Veterinary Nurse – Permanent Full-Time or Part-Time

All Natural Vet Care | Russell Lea, Sydney

Enjoy nursing, care about your patients - come and work with a team that genuinely does too.

At All Natural Vet Care, we take a holistic approach to veterinary medicine, combining conventional veterinary care with complementary therapies to support the health and wellbeing of our patients. We’re an established integrative veterinary hospital in Russell Lea, just 15 minutes from Sydney CBD, with a dedicated team who enjoy working together and take pride in the care we provide.

We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join us in a permanent role. We’re open to full-time or part-time hours for the right person.

This is an opportunity to be involved in all aspects of veterinary nursing in a practice that values good clinical skills, thoughtful patient care and a collaborative approach. You’ll work alongside our vets and nursing team across consultations, surgery, hospital patients and rehabilitation, with opportunities to broaden your skills and explore different areas of veterinary medicine.

What makes ANVC different?

We combine conventional veterinary medicine with complementary modalities, including acupuncture, electroacupuncture, ozone therapy, FMT, herbal medicine and rehabilitation. Our approach is centred on the individual patient, with a strong focus on providing exceptional care and supporting clients throughout their pet’s health journey.

Our hospital is well equipped, with four consulting rooms, a dedicated sterile surgery, treatment and rehabilitation rooms, an in-house laboratory, digital X-ray, ultrasound, an IM3 dental unit, Class 3B laser and an Underwater Treadmill for rehabilitation.

If you have an interest in rehabilitation, there’s also the opportunity to learn hydrotherapy and develop your skills using our Underwater Treadmill.

What will you be doing?

This is a varied nursing role where you’ll be involved in the day-to-day clinical and operational life of the hospital, including:

  • Assisting vets with surgical procedures, anaesthetic monitoring and patient recovery.
  • Providing pre- and post-operative nursing care and following individualised treatment plans.
  • Caring for hospitalised patients and supporting consultations.
  • Preparing medications and maintaining equipment, clinical areas and supplies.
  • Managing stock levels, monitoring inventory, placing supplier orders and helping ensure the clinic is well stocked and organised.
  • Assisting with general administration and keeping clinical records and paperwork up to date.
  • Working closely with the veterinary and nursing team to ensure patients receive consistent, high-quality care and the clinic runs smoothly.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their nursing, notices the little things, is comfortable balancing clinical and administrative responsibilities, and understands how much a calm, organised approach matters to both patients and their owners.

About you

You care about doing a good job, think ahead rather than waiting to be asked, and appreciate being part of a team that works together and looks out for one another. Ideally you will have:

  • A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
  • At least one year of veterinary nursing experience, including surgical nursing.
  • A calm, compassionate approach to handling and caring for patients.
  • Good communication skills and a genuine commitment to client care.
  • The ability to prioritise, think ahead and stay organised in a busy clinical environment.
  • A collaborative attitude and a willingness to help where needed. An interest in integrative veterinary medicine and a desire to keep learning.

You don’t need to have experience in integrative medicine already. We’re interested in nurses with a solid conventional nursing foundation who are open to learning and developing their skills.

What we offer
  • Permanent employment – full-time or part-time, depending on what suits the right candidate.
  • Monday to Friday only – no weekends or after-hours.
  • A competitive salary based on experience.
  • A genuinely supportive and collaborative team who enjoy working together and take pride in the care we provide.
  • Opportunities for professional development in integrative veterinary medicine, rehabilitation and hydrotherapy.
  • A well-equipped hospital with a varied caseload and opportunities to expand your clinical skills.
  • A genuine focus on work-life balance, with lunch breaks respected and staff encouraged to finish on time.
  • Discounted veterinary care for your own pets.
Interested?

If you’re an experienced Veterinary Nurse looking for a role where you can put your skills to good use, continue learning and be part of a team that genuinely cares about its patients and one another, we’d love to hear from you.
